Recording and Production
One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is to be able produce music.
I am constantly working on my own songwriting which has resulted in the construction of my new studio. It's great to share this process with a number of my students and encourage to help realise their potential and to be able to produce their own material. This work can also result in being used for qualifications.
Another aspect of using the studio is that it is a great tool to develop aural training and music analysis and a higher sense of musicality such as applying harmony, contrapuntal rhythms and arrangement skills
Pupils have the ability to develop recording techniques and instrumental skills which can be used as part of a qualification or as a promotion tool for an individual’s portfolio.
I currently use Logic Pro X and a selection of dynamic and condenser microphones.
